Dear Family and Friends,
I would like to share some news with you and to give you an opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause.
Many of you may or may not know that I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in October, 2007. My immediate family has gathered around me with their support and prayers. I am on medication that seems to help control the effects of Parkinson’s. Several of us (my family and friends) plan to participate in the 2nd annual Walk for Hope down Main Street in Cedartown., GA, on Saturday, April 18, 2009. We have paid our $10 registration fee to support this worthy cause. In fact, many of my 7th grade students at Cedartown Middle School have pledged their support to walk with me.
Here are some basic facts:
Date: Saturday, April 18, 2009
Time: Walk begins at 10:00 A.M.
Walk: Cedartown Depot to Peek’s Park
Registration Fee: $10
Sponsor: $100 (may sponsor a person for $10 or event for $100)
Concert in the Park after the Walk (FAC Youth Sign Team and FAC Praise Team have been asked to perform at the concert.)
Make check payable to Northwest Georgia Parkinson Association, Inc. All tax deductible monies will go to funding education and helping those suffering with this disease. Please try to send your donations to me by April 1, 2009.
